Action Bet
A bet that stands regardless of pitching changes (in baseball) or other pre-game conditions. The opposite of a "listed" bet, which is voided if conditions change.
Like buying a non-refundable plane ticket: you're locked in no matter what happens with the weather or schedule.
Why it matters
Action bets guarantee you have a wager no matter what, but the odds may shift if the starting pitcher changes, potentially eliminating your edge.
How DMP uses this
DMP's odds snapshots capture lines at a specific time. If you bet "action," the line you got may differ from the final posted line after changes.
Common mistake
Taking action on a game where your edge was based on a specific pitcher matchup — if the pitcher changes, your analysis is invalid.
