Arbitrage

Betting both sides of a market at different sportsbooks where the combined odds guarantee a profit regardless of the outcome. Also called an arb or surebet.

Like finding the same item priced differently at two stores and buying low to sell high — it works until the stores catch on.

Why it matters

Arbs are risk-free profit, but sportsbooks aggressively limit and ban accounts that arb frequently. It's a short-term strategy with real consequences.

How DMP uses this

DMP's multi-book odds comparison can reveal arb opportunities, though our primary focus is on +EV plays that don't require betting both sides.

Common mistake

Thinking arbs are a sustainable long-term strategy — most books will limit your account quickly once they detect arbitrage patterns.
