Circle Game
A game where the sportsbook reduces maximum bet limits, typically due to uncertain injury status, weather, or other factors that make the game harder to price.
Like a store limiting purchases of an item to two per customer: it usually means the item is underpriced.
Why it matters
Circle games signal that the book isn't confident in its line. This can mean opportunity (if you have better info) or danger (if you're guessing too).
How DMP uses this
DMP's injury and game readiness data helps you understand why a game might be circled and whether you have an informational edge.
Common mistake
Avoiding circle games entirely — sometimes the reduced limits exist because the line is beatable, which is exactly when you should be interested.
