Middle
A situation where you bet both sides of a game at different numbers and can win both bets if the final result lands between them. Example: bet Team A -3 and later bet Team B +5; if Team A wins by 4, both bets win.
Like buying a product on sale and also having a price-match guarantee: if the price changes enough, you profit both ways.
Why it matters
Middles offer the rare chance to win both sides of a bet. Even when you don't land the middle, you only lose the vig on one side.
How DMP uses this
DMP's line movement tracking reveals when lines have moved enough to create middle opportunities on player props.
Common mistake
Chasing middles on every line move — the gap needs to be wide enough that the probability of hitting the middle exceeds the cost of the vig on both sides.
