Per-36 Minutes
A rate stat that extrapolates a player's production to what they'd produce in 36 minutes of playing time. Calculated as (stat / minutes played) × 36.
Like projecting a part-time employee's output to full-time — it assumes they'd maintain the same pace, which isn't always true.
Why it matters
It helps evaluate a player's efficiency independent of playing time, useful for spotting breakout potential in players whose minutes are increasing.
How DMP uses this
DMP references per-36 rates when evaluating whether a player's production will scale with increased minutes, such as when a teammate is injured.
Common mistake
Treating per-36 stats as guaranteed production — a bench player with great per-36 numbers may not sustain that efficiency with starter minutes due to fatigue and defensive attention.
