Void
A bet that is canceled by the sportsbook, returning the original stake to the bettor. In parlays, a voided leg is typically removed and the parlay is recalculated with the remaining legs.
Like ordering a combo meal but the drink machine is broken: you get a refund for the drink but the meal costs less overall.
Why it matters
Voided legs in parlays reduce your payout because the parlay now has fewer multiplied odds. A 4-leg parlay becomes a 3-leg parlay if one leg voids.
How DMP uses this
DMP's wager tracking handles voided legs correctly when calculating parlay outcomes and overall portfolio performance.
Common mistake
Expecting the same payout on a parlay after a void — the voided leg is removed, reducing the total odds and payout.
