Flat (star) vs steep (role player) efficiency at higher usage

Predicts: Whether this player CAN handle more opportunity. Stars absorb load; role players collapse.

Framework in Action: Jokic vs. a Backup Center

Jokic: Floor General archetype, 30%+ usage, stable 34-36 MPG, FLAT skill curve. He contributes across every stat category and absorbs extra usage efficiently. A backup center: Rim Runner archetype, 12% usage, volatile 12-24 MPG, STEEP skill curve. His stats disappear when asked to do more. Understanding these roles is Step 1 before analyzing any prop.

When to Apply This Framework
